Much like Storm Claudia swept through the northwest the prior day, City overwhelmed the visitors away at the Etihad. It was a statement three-nil victory for the City coach's side thanks to goals from Knaak, Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a display that truly announced their leadership claims as they strengthened their place at the league summit.
