I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
